Bring your favorite furry, finned, or feathered friend to the courtyard of the Marty Leonard Community Chapel for a special Blessing of the Animals ceremony, hosted by Lena Pope.
The celebration will include a brief service with a collective blessing of the creatures, a meet-and-greet with some wild animals, information on the developmental and psychological benefits of pets for children, and other fun activities. Attendees will receive a certificate to commemorate the blessing.
All animals are welcome with a human companion. Dogs must be leashed. Other animals must be in carriers or otherwise contained. Animals will not be allowed inside the chapel. In the event of rain, the event will be cancelled.
