Originally born in Finland, the exhibition title is from the Finnish language, which translates to the word "echo" in English. The exhibition explores ideas around built and natural environments through a series of diptych images.
Through Wilska’s signature high-key photographic style, curator Simone Fischer arranges his photographs by merging minimal and his lesser-known maximal photographs as diptychs. The result is a series of photographs that push and pull on the fraught relationship between natural and built environments. Without any obvious visual similarities, each photograph echoes a subtle visual harmony.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through September 19.
