To express gratitude to the many friends and supporters of the Modern, the museum will host a community-wide, free celebration to toast their 125th Anniversary, making the Modern the oldest museum in the state of Texas. The event will feature live performances by the Texas Boys Choirs and Amphibian Stage Productions Stilt Walkers, gallery tours, holiday-inspired activities, refreshments from Café Modern, film screenings, and a special visit from Santa and friends.

Spend time in the evening meandering through the Modern Lights on the Museum grounds. For the first time in its history, the Modern will be illuminated with a spectacular array of festive lights in celebration of the holiday season and in honor of the Museum's 125th Anniversary. Not only will passersby be treated to a stunning display, visitors and families will be invited to enjoy nightly viewing opportunities with extended museum hours for a "must-see" holiday experience. The museum will be lit up every night between November 24 and January 6.
