Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth will present Alexandra Farber in Dance at the Modern: Women Painting Women, with excerpts of her works "The Way We Change" and "Inside Voices" and the world premiere of Three Portraits.

Three Portraits, a new work from dancer, visual artist, and choreographer Alexandra Farber is inspired by the Modern’s current exhibition, "Women Painting Women." The performance will feature three solo dances for women, each speaking to a painting in the exhibition: Marilyn Minter’s Red Flare, 2018–19, Alex Heilbron’s Labor of Thought, 2019, and Lorna Simpson’s Black Darkness, 2019.

All dances are set to the music of three female vocalists: Roniit, Feist, and Regina Spektor. In addition, excerpts from "The Way We Change" and "Inside Voices" by Farber, each having premiered at the Modern, are included in this program in conjunction with "Women Painting Women."
