eventdetail
Facebook Tatiana “LadyMay” Mayfield

In celebration of the "Women Painting Women" exhibition, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth joins forces with Amplify 817 to present a concert featuring the sounds of soul/R&B musicians, Elise Amara and Tatiana “LadyMay” Mayfield.

Undeniably influenced by the Motown sound, Amara brings a familiar-yet-captivating presence to soul/R&B. Growing up as a multi-instrumentalist was no easy task, but it molded her into a soul-stirring singer and songwriter. When Amara takes the stage, she engages her audience with poignant lyrics of love and heartbreak, and her showmanship is unforgettable.

A jazz/soul vocalist, musician, composer, and educator from Fort Worth, LadyMay has performed in various venues and festivals throughout the US and abroad, earning rave reviews from listeners and musicians in addition to numerous awards.
