The 2021 RFD-TV American Rodeo, presented by Durango Boots, is returning for its eighth year featuring Slack and the Semi-Finals. The American is now “the world’s richest weekend in Western Sports,” paying out $2.35 million to top rodeo athletes through a series of qualifiers around the country, Semi-Finals, and the final event, RFD-TV’s The American Rodeo at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on March 6 and 7.

Prior to the main event, the American Rodeo Semi-Finals will host approximately 700 contestants competing in seven western skills, including barrel racing, breakaway roping, rough stock, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, team roping, and tie-down roping. Any contestant who advances to The American and out-rides or out-ropes the sport’s superstars is eligible for an additional $1 million bonus.

In addition to the competition inside Cowtown Coliseum, fans will be able to enjoy the FanZone in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards featuring live music, demonstrations, food trucks, and more.
