Registration is open to everyone for Sons of the Flag second annual Climb for a Calling stair climb. This event is not a race, but rather a tribute honoring the sacrifices of fallen heroes, both near and far. Fulfilling a promise to never forget their brothers and sisters who have died in the line of duty, participants will climb honoring the fallen.

Civilians are invited to join veterans, firefighters, police officers, and first responders from around the country. Your registration fee benefits Sons of the Flag and other local partnering non-profits: Parkland Foundation in support of the Parkland Burn Unit, Stay the Course Veterans Services, offering wellness and healing from invisible wounds and the Lt. Todd Wesley Krodle Memorial Foundation, in support of Dallas Fire Fighters and their families.

At 40 stories high and 567 feet tall, Burnett Plaza is the tallest building in Fort Worth. The climb consists of two 40 story laps for civilians and two and a half laps (110 stories) for the First Responders Challenge. Climbers will be timed and issued time in laps. Medical teams and water stations will be staged throughout the climb to ensure a safe experience for all.

Participants are encouraged to recruit friends and family, create teams and collect pledges. Spectators are welcome to the event as well, as Burnett Park will be transformed into a carnival atmosphere including live music, vendors, first responder vehicles to explore, and more.
