The Southlake Historical Society will present an exhibition of photographs of the Lonesome Dove miniseries taken by Texas screenplay writer and photographer Bill Wittliff.
Larry McMurty wrote the book, but Bill Wittliff brought the story to life in the miniseries, which aired on TV over four nights in February 1989 and earned blockbuster ratings. Part of The Wittliff Collections at Texas State University in San Marcos, the exhibit is sponsored by Humanities Texas and sponsored by the Southlake Historical Society.
The exhibit will remain on view through August 19.
