Timeless Concerts presents Evening in France

eventdetail

Many have enjoyed the immersive art exhibits of artists Van Gogh and Monet, walking through masterworks projected onto walls and ceilings. What music would have been popular in 1889 when Van Gogh painted his famous "Starry Night" or when Monet painted his "Water Lily Pond" in 1899?

During those years, Claude Debussy was the most famous composer in France. Timeless Concerts will highlight his "Trio in G Major" for piano violin and cello, as well as works by Ravel, Bizet, and a bit of jazz by Claude Bolling. Performers include violinist LeeAnne Chenoweth, cellist Alice Jeong-A Lee, pianists Heejung Kang and Simon Petty, soprano Youna Hartgraves, and tenor Sergio Cepeda.
