Timeless Concerts presents Music of the Spanish Language

Timeless Concerts will present the dramatic and beautiful "Scene Andalouse" by composer Joaquin Turina of Seville, Spain (1812-1949). The work is written for piano quintet accompanying a virtuosic viola solo played by guest Rachel McDonald. Turina is musically describing southern Spain, Andalusia, known for its vibrant culture, famous for flamenco music and dance, tapas, and diverse landscapes from mountains to beaches.

The rest of the program will include music of Enrique Granados and Juan C. Arriaga, plus song selections in the Spanish language by soprano Youna Hartgraves and tenor Sergio Cepeda.

The piano quintet includes violinists LeeAnne Chenoweth and Keyreel Raskolenko, violist Claire Ross, cellist Alice Jeon-A Lee, and pianist Heejung Kang.
