Richard Meyer, the Robert and Ruth Halperin Professor in Art History at Stanford University, where he teaches courses on 20-century American art, photography, and gender and sexuality studies, presents “Queer and Now” for this final spring 2019 Tuesday Evenings lecture. Meyer has authored and co-authored a number of noteworthy books, including What Was Contemporary Art? (MIT Press, 2013) and Art and Queer Culture (Phaidon, 2013), which he co-authored with artist and University of California Irvine studio professor Catherine Lord.
