Tulips opened as Fort Worth’s first mid-sized music venue in November 2020. They'll celebrate their one-year anniversary with a concert featuring Birdtalker.
Twelve local artists, including Diane Pereira, Ariel Davis, Jay Wilkinson, Marielle Guzman, and Shasta Haubrich, will donate their time and talents to customize cowboy hats that will be auctioned off during the anniversary event. Handwritten lyrics by singer-songwriter Noah Gunderson will also be auctioned. Yellow Rose Smokehouse will run the evening’s food pop-up with their popular barbecue.
Proceeds from the event will benefit local chef and entrepreneur Henry Wasonga, in response to Wasonga suffering a heart attack in late October.
