Back by popular demand is one of the most creative and popular festival events of last year – West 7th’s second Chalk Art Festival.

The event will feature:

  • Three commissioned street painting artists who will spend hours creating colorful visual masterpieces from chalk.
  • Amateur contest where anyone who is creatively inclined is invited to apply to create 4’x4’ chalk art on-site during the event. Art must be family appropriate; no nudity or violence will be allowed. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place by a panel of celebrity judges through awards ceremony at 7:30 pm. There is no cost to amateurs to participate; however, an advance online application is required. Prepared art surface and basic pastel chalks will be provided. Details and application available at west-7th.com/event/chalk-art-festival.
  • Children’s chalk art creation area, with outlines on bricks for kids to color.
  • Food & beverage available for purchase.

A portion of the proceeds benefits The Art Station, a non-profit organization offering individual and group art therapy, as well as community programs, for both children and adults.
