1. New Fort Worth restaurant serves hard-to-find Vietnamese hot pot. An authentic Vietnamese restaurant with a special twist just opened in northeast Fort Worth. Called Anh Long Kitchen, it's located in a small shopping center at 3789 N. Beach St #201, taking over the former Famous George's Cafe with a menu that includes a Vietnamese rendition of hot pot.
2. Zumi Modern Sushi from acclaimed team now open in Southlake. A buzzy new sushi restaurant from an acclaimed team has arrived in Southlake. Called Zumi Modern Sushi, it opened in the former CoolGreens space on December 29, 2025.
3. Salad and Go to close all 25 remaining Dallas-Fort Worth stores. Quick-salad chain Salad and Go is saying goodbye to Dallas-Fort Worth. The healthy drive-thru company is closing its remaining 25 area restaurants and exiting Texas.

4. How to get every possible discount to the 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show. The 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo starts its three-week run on January 16, and they will once again offer up a variety of deals and discounts on general admission to save attendees a few bucks.
5. Sprinkles Cupcakes closes all locations, including Fort Worth-area ATMs. A cupcake pioneer has shuttered all of its locations nationwide, including in Dallas-Fort Worth. Sprinkles Cupcakes closed all of its locations on December 31, 2025.
