A bold and brazen bandit has made off with plants from Sundance Square in Fort Worth, and the authorities would like the public's help in tracking him down.

According to a letter sent out to Sundance Square tenants and residents, the unidentified pilferer perpetrated the plant purloining on the night of February 26, 2025.

The letter describes the heist as "an elaborate plan" in which the individual schemed to steal three large plants and their very heavy planters — depriving the locals of of the beauty they work so hard to maintain.

The suspect is described as a white male, 30-35 years old, with a beard, and mustache.

He was impersonating a landscaper wearing a dark green cap, dark green shirt, tan pants, and brown shoes.

Also, he was driving a blue 2019-2020 Ford Escape with chrome rims. (See photo below.)

"Our courtyard is more than just a space—it’s a reflection of our shared commitment to beauty, tranquility, and community," the letter says. "We believe in the strength of our community and our shared dedication to keeping our spaces welcoming and beautiful."

Anyone who recognizes the individual or has information about the incident is asked to contact Rick Fuentes at 817-201-9313 or rfuentes@sundancesecurity.com.

"Together, we can ensure that our courtyard remains a place of peace and beauty for all," the letter concludes. "Thank you for your vigilance and commitment to our shared space."
