Fortress Festival wrangles most diverse lineup yet for 2020 edition
The Fortress Festival, taking place on April 25 and 26 in the Cultural District, has revealed the full music lineup for its fourth annual edition, with Grammy Award-winning DJ and record producer Diplo and R&B singer/songwriter Miguel leading the way as headliners.
In partnership with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Fortress Festival is a boutique multi-genre festival experience celebrating music acts and international art. It will boast its most diverse lineup yet this year, featuring several Hispanic artists of international fame, including Miguel.
Other notable worldly and Latin-influenced artists on this year’s lineup include singer-songwriter Cuco, Mexican-American rapper Snow Tha Product, and Combo Chimbita, a quartet of first-generation New York-based musicians with Colombian ties.
Also in the lineup will be emcee Big K.R.I.T., Dallas rising star Kaash Paige, singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten, London-based trio Kero Kero Bonito, R&B/soul outfit The Free Nationals, and Brooklyn-based indie-pop band Wet.
The festival will continue to showcase a variety of acts from the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area, including post-punk band Rosegarden Funeral Party; electro-pop duo Prizm; singer/song Tippy Balady; indie-pop singer Remy Reilly; high-energy jazz fusion group Kwinton Gray Project; pop-rock project Son of Stan, and rappers like Rakim Al-Jabbaar, Renizance, and Smoothvega.
The festival will be entirely housed within the outdoor lawn adjacent to the historic Will Rogers Coliseum. It will feature two outdoor main stages with non-overlapping sets to ensure fans are able to catch each performance.
All attendees will have free access to the Modern’s galleries during the festival, including exclusive late-night access.
