The holidays are starting to creep in even more this weekend in and around Fort Worth, with a couple of special events taking place throughout the season. Other choices include two theater productions (including the tour of a Broadway show), two comedians, four concerts, monster trucks, a new way to experience Meow Wolf, and screenings of an acclaimed new film.

Thursday, November 13
Broadway at the Bass presents & Juliet
& Juliet flips the script on the greatest love story ever told and asks: what would happen next if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo? Juliet ditches her famous ending for a fresh beginning and a second chance at life and love - her way. Her new story bursts to life through a playlist of pop anthems as iconic as her name, including “Since U Been Gone‚” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life‚” “That’s The Way It Is,“ and “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” The production runs through Sunday at Bass Performance Hall.
Theatre Wesleyan presents The Importance of Being Earnest
The Importance of Being Earnest is a glorious comedy of mistaken identity which ridicules codes of propriety and etiquette. Dashing men-about-town John Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff pursue fair ladies Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. Matters are complicated by the imaginary characters invented by both men to cover their on-the-sly activities, not to mention the disapproval of Gwendolen's mother, the formidable Lady Bracknell. The production runs through November 21 at Texas Wesleyan University.
Improv Arlington presents Tacarra Williams
Tacarra Williams is a school teacher, plus-sized model, motivational speaker, and writer known throughout the comedy industry as at The Beautiful Beast. She creates humor from her rough life as a twin and sibling to six others, a mom, and a Life Skills coach to inmates at the county jail. She dares to be the voice for every woman too afraid to think aloud, and refuses to bow down to the prejudiced opinions of men. She'll perform five times through Sunday at Improv Arlington.
Ben Rector in concert
Singer-songwriter Ben Rector has gained fans in multiple genres over the course of his career. Debuting in 2007, he's dabbled in pop, rock, and folk music, gaining the most acclaim in the mid 2010s with a trio of high-selling albums, most notably Brand New in 2015. He'll play at Dickies Arena in support of his new album, The Richest Man in the World, joined by special guest Mat Kearney.

Gaylord Texan presents Ice featuring Elf
The Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine will present the return of the Christmas tradition, Ice, featuring the holiday classic Elf. The larger-than-life frozen showcase features more than 2 million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures, for a walk-through winter wonderland filled with multiple immersive scenes, two-story ice slides, and passageways. There will also be activities like ice tubing adventures and interactive scavenger hunts, festive character dining, and photo ops with Santa. The event will be open daily through January 4, 2026.
Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live
Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live comes back to Fort Worth with its new theme for 2025: Glow-N-Fire, featuring an added fiery twist. The event will include fan favorite Hot Wheels Monster Trucks like Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, HW 5-Alarm, Bone Shaker, Bigfoot, Gunkster, and the brand new Skelesaurus. There will also be a special appearance from a transforming robot, plus the high-flyers of Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Freestyle Motocross Team. There will be four performances through Sunday at Dickies Arena.
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History presents Live from the Omni with Club Coma
Club Coma is an Austin-based experimental group comprised of Scott Martin, Aaron Perez, and Geoff Earle that pulls together an genre-bending sound. They describe their vibe as one that lives somewhere between rock ‘n’ roll and experimental pop, with inspiration from mid-aughts French style. They'll perform as part of the Live at the Omni series at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.
Sarah Millican: Late Bloomer
Comedian Sarah Millican comes to Fort Worth with her hit stand-up show, Late Bloomer. Known for her sharp wit and relatable humor, Millican will take audiences on a hilarious journey through her transformation from a shy, friendless schoolgirl to the confident comedian she is today. In Late Bloomer, Millican dives into her personal evolution, complete with laugh-out-loud stories about life, love, dinners, and everything in between. She'll perform at Will Rogers Auditorium.
Kaitlin Butts in concert
Since releasing her debut album in 2015, Kaitlin Butts has become a favorite on the Red Dirt country circuit, working with a variety of local and regional artists, and even marrying one of them, Flatland Cavalry lead singer Cleto Cordero. She'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of her new EP, The Yeehaw Sessions.
Saturday, November 15
Meow Wolf presents Phenomenomaly
As an enhancement for their permanent exhibition, Meow Wolf in Grapevine is presenting Phenomenomaly, which transforms the space into a world of music, theater, dance, and art in motion. Guests will be able to explore the space while live actors, dancers, musicians, and giant puppets put on spontaneous, interactive performances. Performers move through the exhibition in real time, inviting guests to interact and join scenes. Each show repeats across the afternoon, so all ages can step into the story from anywhere in the exhibition. The takes place on select days through January 4, 2026.
Magnolia at the Modern: Blue Moon
On the evening of March 31, 1943, legendary lyricist Lorenz Hart (Ethan Hawke) confronts his shattered self-confidence in Sardi’s bar as his former collaborator, Richard Rodgers (Andrew Scott), celebrates the opening night of his groundbreaking hit musical, Oklahoma!. The film, directed by Richard Linklater, will have four screenings through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Ian Munsick in concert
Rising country star Ian Munsick, who hails from Wyoming, is bringing the "Western" back to country. With influences ranging from bluegrass to the Beatles, Munsick has brought his own unique sound to the genre, releasing three albums, including the new Eagle Feather. He'll play at Billy Bob's Texas.
