Amphibian Stage Productions presents The True History of the Tragic Life & Triumphant Death of Julia Pastrana, the Ugliest Woman in the World
Thursday is the final day — they mean it this time! — to stream Amphibian Stage Productions' virtual version of their 2012 production of Julia Pastrana, which was performed in the dark. Using only a 3D soundscape engineered with the cinematic Dolby Atmos surround sound, they have created an entirely new auditory event that transports audiences into Julia Pastrana’s world of traveling circuses and sideshows. Ticket holders are encouraged to dim the lights, turn up their headphones, and prepare for an immersive listening encounter.
Jubilee Theatre presents How I Got Over
Jubilee Theatre continues its virtual production of How I Got Over, which they had been doing live until an uptick in COVID-19 cases shut them down again. The musical revue celebrates the legendary Queen of Gospel, Mahalia Jackson, and other gospel greats. The filmed version of the production, available through August 15, can be rented for a discounted ticket price of $20, and all rentals are good for 48 hours.
The Cliburn presents Cliburn at Home
The Cliburn at Home series, which features weekly episodes of two series, Cliburn Watch Party and Cliburn Kids, is winding down, with the last performance scheduled for August 13. The August 6 performance will feature Shuan Hern Lee, 2019 Cliburn Junior first-prize winner, along with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and conductor Ruth Reinhardt. The episode premieres on Thursday on the Cliburn Facebook and YouTube channels, and will also be available for on-demand viewing afterward.

And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead in concert
The Austin alternative rock band And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead will present the second of three livestreams, this one timed for an evening performance in the UK/EU, but accessible by anyone in the world. The show will feature a unique one-hour set built around requests by fans for a handful of tracks rarely played live, if at all, and some classic live favorites.

If you've been longing for a very specific type of shopping, the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is here for you. Stopping again at The Shops at Clearfork, it lets fans of Hello Kitty shop from a new batch of exclusive goodies and limited-edition collectibles. The truck will be set up in the plaza across from Starbucks from 10 am to 8 pm, while supplies last.
