Trio of huge rock bands promises hella mega concert at Rangers' new ballpark
Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer will join forces for the first time ever on The Hella Mega Tour, presented by Harley-Davidson, which will stop at Globe Life Field in Arlington on July 31, 2020.
The stop in Arlington marks the first announced concert at Globe Life Field, which will open in March for the start of the Texas Rangers' 2020 season.
The global tour kicks off June 13 in Paris, visiting eight cities throughout Europe in June. The North American leg of the tour will start on July 17, and all of the 20 dates will either be at ballparks or football stadiums, including a stop at Minute Maid Park in Houston on August 1. The Interrupters will appear as special guest on the tour.
Concurrent with tour announcement, each of the bands released new singles. Green Day's “Father Of All…” is the lead track off its forthcoming new album of the same name that will come out on February 7, 2020. Fall Out Boy’s new single “Dear Future Self (Hands Up)” featuring Wyclef Jean will be featured on its upcoming Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die - Volume Two, which will be released on November 15. And Weezer’s new single, “The End of the Game,” will be on its new album, Van Weezer, due out in May 2020.
The Harley-Davidson sponsorship will include more than just signage. Concert-goers will get to see the newest Harley-Davidson motorcycles at the concert, including the fully electric LiveWire and its new, line of electric bicycles.
