One of the biggest looming trends in Fort Worth is Nashville hot chicken, and here's a new one that's locally grown: Called Hot Chicks Chicken, it's going to feature the buzzy spicy hot fried chicken said to hail from Nashville, but with what it hopes will be a few twists to set it apart.

2. Fort Worth university makes the grade on new list of top Texas schools. Neighborhood review site Niche.com’s latest college rankings, released August 21, rely on U.S. Department of Education data coupled with reviews from current students, alumni, and parents to judge American colleges. Fort Worth's Texas Christian University made the grade among Texas' top 10 schools, ranking No. 6.

3. Fort Worth billionaire keeps crown as richest woman in America, Forbes says. Walmart heiress Alice Walton of Fort Worth has retained her status as the richest Texan and America’s richest woman in 2020, with a net worth estimated this year at $62.3 billion. That compares with $51.4 billion in 2019. This, according to the 2020 edition of the Forbes 400, which ranks the 400 richest Americans.

4. Dreamy retro Airstream wheels out as Fort Worth's hottest new art gallery. Talk about wheeling and dealing. A vintage Airstream trailer is now the most contemporary gallery in Fort Worth. Lottie Mae Lounge, a new 31-foot art space inside a refurbished 1979 Airstream Sovereign, will roll out for the first time at a Fall Gallery Night event, September 12 and 13.

5. These are the 6 best things to do in Fort Worth this weekend. This weekend is full of music again, from country legends to classical masters. Events include the Fort Worth Symphony's return to the stage alongside Asleep at the Wheel (featuring local fiddling trio The Quebe Sisters), as well as a virtual chamber music concert and some hot country acts at Billy Bob's Texas.
