Scares for Days
7 best haunted houses around Fort Worth for Halloween frights in 2026

Hangman's House of Horrors is one of seven haunted attractions in the Fort Worth area that brings the scares.
Halloween has long been about way more than the day itself, with all sorts of spooky and not-so-scary events throughout October to get people in the mood for the season.
But haunted houses and attractions are what really bring out the spirit of the season, and the Fort Worth area has plenty of great options from which to choose.
Each of the seven venues below offers up lots of frights for anyone who can handle it.
Six Flags Over Texas presents Fright Fest
Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington features haunted mazes, outdoor scare zones, multiple live shows, and Halloween-themed food and beverages to celebrate the fall season. The haunted attractions are inspired by immersive nightmares and iconic horror franchises, including Doc Varnum’s Hybrid Hell Pit, The Conjuring Universe, The Strangers: No Escape, SAW: Legacy of Terror, EverSmile Industries, and Terror at the Polynesian Palm. Fright Fest will be open on select dates through November 1.
Moxley Manor Haunted House
Moxley Manor Haunted House in Bedford presents three haunted houses for one price. They include the original Moxley Manor, where the dead roam, possessed dolls watch your every move, and sinister nuns wait in the shadows; Big Top Terror, a warped carnival nightmare filled with larger-than-life 3D visuals, disorienting effects, twisted scenes, and killer clowns hiding where you least expect them; and Regan's Revenge, a sanatorium featuring deranged inmates, disturbing treatment rooms, and twisted experiments. Moxley Manor is open on select days through October 31.
Cutting Edge Haunted House
Cutting Edge Haunted House in Fort Worth is a dark attraction filled with live actors, special effects, and monsters. It is an intense, multi-story, multi-themed haunted attraction, full of chilling detail and unbelievable scares. Located in a 100-year-old abandoned meat packing plant in a section of Fort Worth historically dubbed as "Hell's Half Acre," the venue is built upon a foundation of fear. It will be open on select dates through November 13.
Hangman's House of Horrors
Hangman's Halloween haunted tour in Fort Worth includes three separate attractions: the classic Hangman’s House of Horrors; Outbreak!, where zombies abound from the dark corners and hidden chasms in the smaller yet equally intense attraction; and The Beauty of Horror, a horror-based twist on the interactive art exhibit. There will also be "Scaredy Cat Nights" from 5-6:30 pm on October 11 and 18. It will be open on select dates through October 31.
Fort Worth Haunted House
The plainly-named Fort Worth Haunted House is a version of The Junkyard Haunted House that started in Dallas, a unique haunted house made out of junk locally picked up by the JunkGuysDFW. The family business takes the time to build a very different haunted house, featuring two attractions —1983 and Dimension X — for one price. It will be open on select dates through October 31.
The Parker House
The Parker House in Denton features two main attractions: The Haunted Walkthrough at The Parker House, where guests are engulfed in the murderous mayhem in which Mary Parker subjected her victims; and Outbreak, where guests can take an interactive ride around the property in specially equipped attack vehicles with a mission to defeat zombies and save the world from chaos. There is also Mary's Not-So-Scary Trick-or-Treat event on October 14 and 21, a tamer version of the normal haunted house. It will be open on select days through November 1.
Haunted Mead Manor
Located in Alvarado, Haunted Mead Manor was originally built in the backyard of Jason Mead's residential home in hopes of bringing the Halloween spirit to his neighborhood. After closing years ago, Jason's son Dalton resurrected the idea, coming up with the idea for Haunted Mead Manor: The Undertakers Inn. Every neighborhood has a house different from the rest. Nobody comes out. Would you dare to take this journey and discover the secrets hidden within? It will be open on Fridays and Saturdays through October 31.
