Broadway Comes to Town
Broadway at the Bass' 2026-27 season goes from Boop to Beast in Fort Worth
Disney's Beauty and the Beast will be part of the 2026-27 Broadway at the Bass season.
Performing Arts Fort Worth will feature nine Broadway shows during the upcoming 2026-2027 Broadway at the Bass Season, including many audience favorites and several making their Fort Worth debut.
“Our new 2026-2027 Broadway season celebrates milestone anniversaries for several shows that we’re excited to welcome back to Bass Hall,” said Performing Arts Fort Worth President & CEO Dione Kennedy in a statement. “This lineup has a mix of something for everyone - from well-known classic and blockbuster titles to the latest offerings on Broadway."
Kicking off the season will be the 20th anniversary tour of Jersey Boys, a jukebox musical that tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

Next up will be two season add-ons, Mamma Mia! (celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Broadway debut) and Waitress (celebrating its 10th anniversary), both of which will be making return visits to Fort Worth.
Running December 1-6, 2026, Mamma Mia! is about a daughter’s quest to discover the father she’s never known as she brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited decades ago.

When a baking contest in a nearby county - and a satisfying encounter with someone new - show Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it.
The Tony-nominated musical features original music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Sara Bareilles.
After a few months off, the season will return with another longtime favorite, The Sound of Music, which features beloved songs like “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen,” and “Edelweiss,”

The first new show of the season will be Boop! The Musical, running May 4-9, 2027. The Tony-nominated production premiered on Broadway in 2023.
In the show, Betty’s dream of an ordinary day off from super-celebrity in her black-and-white world leads to an adventure of color, music, and love in New York City.
The family favorite Disney’s Beauty and the Beast will come to town a few weeks later, running May 25-30, 2027, marking the first North American touring production of the beloved musical in over 25 years.
The production of the enchanting and timeless tale will feature all new sets and costumes. The show boasts the Oscar-winning and Tony Award-nominated score, including the classic songs “Be Our Guest” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
Running June 22-27, 2027 will be another new show, the five-time Tony Award-winning musical Buena Vista Social Club, which brings the iconic album to life.
It’s been years since legendary singer Omara Portuondo last entered a recording studio. Once known as the “Queen of Feeling,” her voice was celebrated throughout Cuba - until she vanished from the spotlight. But when an ambitious young record producer brings her a rare opportunity, the elusive diva must finally reckon with her past.
