Dallas Mavericks to play first-ever game at Dickies Arena Fort Worth

Cooper Flagg plays with the Dallas Mavericks during a 2025 NBA Summer League game.
Dallas Mavericks fans in Fort Worth will have the first chance to see No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg right in their backyard when the basketball team plays the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, October 6 at Dickies Arena.
The game will be the first of four preseason games for the Mavericks before they open the regular season in mid-October. The regular season schedule has not yet been released.
The team's home base is American Airlines Center in Dallas. This is their first-ever game at Dickies Arena, and they're going all out, with fans with tickets encouraged to arrive early and enjoy enhanced and unique activations, including a “Pregame Roundup” party celebrating Fort Worth’s rich western heritage.
The first 5,000 MFFLs (Mavericks Fans for Life) through the doors will receive a commemorative bandana.
The game will be Flagg's big introduction to Mavs fans after being picked No. 1 overall in the 2025 NBA Draft. Although Kyrie Irving will initially be on the shelf due to an injury, Flagg will join a team that boasts Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Max Christie, Daniel Gafford, and more.
“As we head into this upcoming season, playing in Fort Worth is the perfect opportunity to engage all of our fans across the metroplex,” said Mavericks CEO Rick Welts in a statement. “This partnership with our neighbor city reinforces our commitment to bringing exciting Mavericks basketball to the entire North Texas community.”
Tickets for the game will go on sale on Tuesday August 5 for Club Maverick Members. The general public can purchase tickets starting on Thursday, August 7 for the general public.
If you can't make it in person, you can watch the game on MavsTV and KFAA Ch. 29. For more information, visit mavs.com/fortworth.
