Dr. Phil McGraw's Fort Worth-based TV network lines up 2 live news shows
Merit Street Media, the news and entertainment cable TV network launched in Fort Worth by Dr. Phil McGraw, has two new shows ready to roll.
According toDeadline, the two new shows will be live news shows, one in the morning and one in the evening, and will launch in February, as follows:
Morning on Merit Street
Airing weekdays from 7-9 am, this show will feature a mix of news, entertainment and advice, hosted by Dominique Sachse and Fanchon Stinger.
Sachse is the former anchor at KPRC-TV in Houston who also has a YouTube channel and podcast, Over 50 and Flourishing.
Stinger is the former news anchor at Fox59 in Indianapolis and co-founder Grit & Grace Nation, a charity that empowers young people with leadership skills.
The News on Merit Street
Airing weeknights from 6-7 pm, this show will be in the “spirit of legendary radio broadcaster Paul Harvey” and “will provide viewers with fact-based research to dispel misinformation each weeknight."
It will feature senior anchor Kris Gutierrez, and co-hosts Lyndsey Keith and Loni Coombs.
Gutierrez is a veteran of NBC 4 in Dallas-Fort Worth, Fox News, and KPRC-TV in Houston.
Keith hosts Trinity Broadcasting‘s Centerpoint and was previously co-host of Newsmax’s Spicer & Co.
Coombs is a former Los Angeles County criminal prosecutor.
As previously announced, McGraw will host Dr. Phil Primetime, airing weeknights at 7 pm.
