1. One of Fort Worth's coolest bars serving champagne and jazz is closing. In a big loss for Fort Worth's bar scene, a darling lounge in the Near Southside is closing: Pinky's Champagne Room & Velvet Jazz Lounge, which called itself "a place for cool cats to break it down, imbibe, and enjoy local jazz," will close on May 26, after two years.
2. Orange Leaf fro-yo chain opens 3 Texas locations including one in Azle. A frozen yogurt chain from Oklahoma is expanding its Texas presence: Orange Leaf, the self-serve fro-yo chain will open three new locations across Texas including one in Azle, at 28 Boyd Rd.
3. This tasty roundup of Fort Worth restaurant news really hits the spot. May 15 arrived: the day that CultureMap Fort Worth unrolls its bi-monthly restaurant news roundup. This edition has new burgers, new menus, dishes for spring. It has shakes, steaks, and chicken sandwiches.
4. Train from Fort Worth to airport to close temporarily for construction. Some temporary stoppages/closures/disruptions to train service were scheduled for the TRE and TEXRail, due to construction. Both took place on Tuesday, May 14.

Main St. in the Stockyards for 42 years, is moving to a new address, but also in the Stockyards. Keep your shirt on, people.
