Austin mini-golf restaurant Dirdie Birdie tees up Fort Worth debut

A fun concept from Austin is coming to Fort Worth: Called Dirdie Birdie, it's a unique combination of indoor miniature golf and restaurant-bar, and will open in the West 7th District, at 2821 Morton St., in the former Bottled Blonde space, which closed nearly a year ago in January 2025.

According to a release, renovations will begin in early 2026, with an anticipated opening later that year.

Dirdie Birdie is known for its immersive 12-hole mini-golf course, elevated food program, and craft-cocktail bar. It's the brainchild of Austin couple Vik and Lina Khasat, who opened the first location in Austin in 2022 partnered with Austin chef Nicholas Yanes and his Excelsior management group (the team behind Austin concepts such as Juniper, Uncle Nicky's, and Verbena).

“The Dirdie Birdie combines all of our favorite things, elevated food and drink mixed with an amazing interactive experience," the couple said in 2022. "We are creating the ideal gathering place for families, date night, friends and everything in between.”

The menu features trendy dishes such as Nashville hot chicken sliders, street corn queso, "par 3 tacos," a Wagyu burger, coffee-rubbed short ribs, and salads, plus craft cocktails and craft beers.

The concept promises to bring a distinctive entertainment and dining option to the West 7th and Cultural District area, adding to the neighborhood’s established mix of restaurants and attractions.

The lease was represented by Brittany Doyle and Sarah LanCarte of LanCarte Commercial, and the Tenant was represented by Jeffrey Yarbrough of Big Ink Commercial Real Estate. Their collaboration helped secure a concept that aligns with and continues to strengthen the evolution of West 7th as a destination for food, beverage, and experiential uses.

“Dirdie Birdie is a great addition to West 7th,” said Brittany Doyle of LanCarte Commercial. “Their concept fits well with the neighborhood and will be a welcomed offering for residents and visitors alike."
