Thursday, October 15
Karol G in concert
Colombian singer Karol G appeared on the music competition show El Factor X at age 14, and has slowly but surely made her way to the top since. Her 2017 debut album, Unstoppable, went to No. 2 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart, and each of her subsequent four albums has gone to No. 2 or No. 1 there. Each of her last two albums, most recently Tropicoqueta in 2025, made the top 3 on the overall Billboard 200. She'll perform at AT&T Stadium as part of her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour.
Amphibian Stage presents Ajax
The CIA walks into a Tehran courtyard in 1953. What happens next shaped the next 70 years of Middle Eastern politics. In the darkly comic spy thriller Ajax, a swimming pool becomes a nation, tennis becomes oil politics, and politeness becomes warfare. You’ve never seen American foreign policy look this seductive - or this damning. The production runs through November 1 at Amphibian Stage.
Theatre TCU presents The Moors
In The Moors by Jen Silverman, two sisters and a dog live out their lives on the bleak English moors, dreaming of love and power. The arrival of a hapless governess and a moor-hen set all three on a strange and dangerous path. The production, a dark comedy about love, desperation, and visibility, will have six performances through Sunday at Chapel Hill Academy.
Friday, October 16
Magnolia at the Modern: Atonement
Displaced from their home in Baghdad by U.S. military action during the early days of the Iraq War, the Khachaturian family finds refuge with relatives. As they navigate the war-torn streets , the family is trapped in a firefight between U.S. Marines and insurgents - and the split-second decision made by one Marine (Boyd Holbrook) devastates the family. Years later, haunted by his time in Iraq and aided by a New Yorker journalist (Kenneth Branagh), the Marine seeks to reconcile with the Khachaturian matriarch (Hiam Abbass) and her surviving family members. The film will screen seven times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Hyena's presents Frankie Quiñones
Frankie Quiñones is a stand-up comedian, actor, and creator best known for his character work. He stars in the Hulu show This Fool, and has a podcast, The Frankie Quiñones Show, that features sketches of colorful characters based on the friends and family that helped shape him into the powerhouse comedian he is today. He'll perform four times through Saturday at Hyena's Comedy Nightclub.
Gorillaz in concert
Gorillaz have never been your typical band, not least because they're represented in videos by animated characters instead of the actual musicians. But at this concert, co-creator Damon Albarn (of the band Blur) will be joined onstage by the Gorillaz live band and some very special guest performers in support of their new album, The Mountain. The album and tour also coincide with the 25th anniversary of their 2001 self-titled debut album. They'll play at Dickies Arena.
Stolen Shakespeare Guild presents King Lear
In Shakespeare's King Lear, an aging king abdicates the throne, but clings to his authority. Betrayal, sedition, and revenge plague the kingdom, and the storm surges on, inside and out. The production, running in rep with As You Like It, runs through October 31 at Stolen Shakespeare Guild.
Hip Pocket Theatre presents Mega Python vs Gatoroid (the musical)
Mega Python vs Gatoroid (the musical) features lascivious squirming, agonizing squeals from antagonized patrons; the rancid aroma of giant perspiring juggernauts battling, biting, gnawing, and clawing; many nutria wrangled together in a tight space; and the entire audience rising up in unison and screaming “Oh no! Not that!” The production runs through November 1 at Hip Pocket Theatre.
Ashley McBryde in concert
Country singer Ashley McBryde's first album in 2018 was called A Girl Going Nowhere, but she quickly proved that title wrong, as her first two albums reached the top 10 on the Billboard Country charts. She's won a handful of awards from the various country music organizations, and took home a Grammy Award in 2023 for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Never Wanted to Be That Girl," her duet with Carly Pearce. She'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of her new album, Wild.
Saturday, October 17
The Cliburn presents Cliburn Family Concerts: The Magic of Beethoven

This unique, interactive concert brings the best of Beethoven to life with stories, jokes, and impressive piano performances. The concert will be performed twice on Saturday at Kimbell Art Museum's Renzo Piano Pavilion.
Sundance Square Catrina Fest

Phoebe Bridgers in concert
Folk/pop singer Phoebe Bridgers comes to Fort Worth as part of her The Lost Tour. The tour is in support of her new album, The Lost Weekend, which became the highest-charting album of her career upon its release in August, going to No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Bridgers, who recently made her feature film acting debut in Primetime, will play at Dickies Arena, joined by Alex G.
Brett Young in concert
Unlike some other country stars, Brett Young's career has been a bit of slow burn. He released three albums in 2012 and 2013, with none of them making much of an impact. But his 2017 self-titled album made it to No. 2 on the Billboard Country charts, followed by the No. 1 Ticket to L.A. in 2018. He'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of his 2025 album, 2.0.
