These are the 13 best things to do in Fort Worth this weekend
It's hot as all get-out this weekend in and around Fort Worth, so thankfully most of the events on our list will keep you indoors. Choices include two comedians, four concerts, four theater productions, a visit from the boys of Dude Perfect, a peach festival, and the final days of a notable exhibition.

Improv Arlington presents Luenell
Luenell is a force of nature. Best known for her controversial role as the “hooker with the heart of gold” in the blockbuster comedy Borat, Luenell is recognized by both mainstream and urban sectors of the population. She's appeared in feature films like I Hate You Dad and Think Like a Man, and also had appearances on TV shows like The Middle and Always Sunny In Philadelphia. She'll perform five times through Saturday at Improv Arlington.
Mac Hankins and the Moonlighters in concert
Mac Hankins and the Moonlighters are a country rock band hailing from the small East Texas town of Winnsboro. Their music is energetic and filled with emotion, with style heavily influenced by artists like Koe Wetzel, Giovannie and the Hired Guns, and Treaty Oak Revival. They'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of their 2025 EP, Dust Till Dawn.
Hip Pocket Theatre presents A Twisty Intergalactic Spectacle
Duke Love and the crew are back in Fort Worth again, bringing tidings of love, togetherness, and UFO euphoria in A Twisty Intergalactic Spectacle. The sci-fi spectacle is a joyful collision of live music, ingenious puppetry, and cosmic delight. The production runs through July 26 at Hip Pocket Theatre.

Dude Perfect presents Squad Games Tour
Dude Perfect's Squad Games Tour will be an action-packed night of competition, trick shots, and family fun, complete with new larger-than-life challenges and surprise guests along the way. By transforming the arena floor into a battle zone surrounded by fans on all sides, the Squad Games Tour captures the energy of a live sporting event as the Dudes face off against some of their favorite athletes, creators, and Dude Perfect staff. The event takes place at Dickies Arena.
Theatre Arlington presents for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf
The groundbreaking choreopoem, for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf is a spellbinding collection of vivid prose and free verse narratives about and performed by Black women. The production runs through July 19 at Theatre Arlington.
Circle Theatre presents Circle Hosts! - Totally Made-up Musical
What happens when you take a cast of fearless performers, some insanely talented musicians, and absolutely no script? Well, you get a one-of-a-kind musical that’s never been seen before … and will never be seen again. Totally Made-up Musical is an improvised, full-length show where the audience helps inspire the story. From the opening number to the final bow, every lyric, character, harmony, and plot twist is created on the spot. The production takes place on Friday and Saturday at Circle Theatre.
Hyena's presents Gabriel Rutledge
Gabriel Rutledge has made numerous television appearances, including Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, Nickelodeon’s Nickmom Night Out, Laughs on FOX, and Inside Joke with Asif Ali on Amazon Prime Video. He has recorded five albums, most recently Good Luck in Court in 2020. He is also the author of the book, Happiness Isn’t Funny: True Stories of a Road Comic. He'll perform four times through Saturday at Hyena's Comedy Nightclub.
Stolen Shakespeare Guild presents Footloose
When city teen Ren moves to a small town where dancing is outlawed, he shakes things up with courage, passion, and plenty of rhythm. Packed with high-energy choreography and hits like “Let’s Hear It for the Boy” and “Footloose,” the musical is a celebration of youth, freedom, and finding your voice. The production runs through July 26 at Stolen Shakespeare Guild.
Jason Boland and the Stragglers in concert
Members of the Red Dirt/Texas Country genre, Jason Boland & The Stragglers are actually a product of Oklahoma, having gotten their start when Boland and drummer Brad Rice met at Oklahoma State University. But they've proved their Texas bona fides since then, with one of their albums named Live and Lit at Billy Bob's Texas. They'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of their 2025 album, The Last Kings of Babylon.

Parker County Peach Festival
The annual Parker County Peach Festival celebrates Parker County’s rich peach-growing heritage with a full day of family fun, flavorful treats, and small-town charm. The event will include a variety of peach treats, live music and entertainment, shopping from over 200 vendors showcasing, interactive games, a kids’ zone, contests, and more. It takes place in Downtown Weatherford.
Rush in concert
It's been a rough start to the Rush tour, as Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have had to deal with travel issues and laryngitis, forcing the postponement of multiple concerts in their planned four-show stay at Dickies Arena. Fingers crossed, they'll finally get to play the last two shows — Saturday and Monday — to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic band, as well the life of drummer Neil Peart, who passed away in 2020.
Big & Rich in concert
Country duo Big & Rich just passed their 20th anniversary, having released their first album, Horse of a Different Color, in 2004. That auspicious debut went to No. 1 on the Billboard Country chart, featuring hits like "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" and "Holy Water." They've released five more albums, most recently Did It for the Party in 2017, each of which had made the top 10 on the Billboard Country chart. They'll play at Billy Bob's Texas.

Kimbell Art Museum presents "The Holy Sepulcher: Treasures from the Terra Sancta Museum, Jerusalem" closing day
Sunday will be the final day to view "The Holy Sepulcher: Treasures from the Terra Sancta Museum, Jerusalem" at Kimbell Art Museum. The exhibition showcases more than 60 objects in silver, gold, enamel, and precious jewels, given by the Catholic rulers of Europe; the Holy Roman Emperors in Vienna; and the monarchs of Portugal, Spain, France, and Naples to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. Traveling to only two venues in North America, the exhibition represents the first and possibly only time these treasures will be seen in the U.S.
