3 women-owned brands power new pop-up boutique in west Fort Worth
With barely two months to go until Christmas — and even fewer days until Hanukkah — a group of female artisan-entrepreneurs has teamed up to power a new holiday gift-buying experience in Fort Worth.
They've boldly and definitively called it The Shoppe. (Like "shop," with an extra, two-letter boost of holiday shopping fuel.)
Allison Castillo Designs has set up the pop-up "Shoppe" with the owners of home decor purveyors A Friendly Arrangement and Sevargo in the buzzy WestBend shopping center.
The new 1,000-square-foot, temporary store will offer upscale fashion, home decor, paper goods, and hostess gifts through the holidays.
"The Shoppe will come to fruition through three brands that share a vision to provide Fort Worth shoppers with colorful, gift ready, unique pieces for home, life, and office in an environment designed to inspire creativity," a release says.
The walls of the space are adorned with pieces of Castillo's vibrant, bold artwork, which are available for direct purchase, as well. Castillo, a Fort Worth native and accomplished graphic designer and painter, has become a popular commissioned artist among the city's art lovers.
The boutique's owners and designers also are offering individualized consultations for shoppers who want to create custom gifts, by appointment only.
Here's a closer look at the brands powering The Shoppe:
Allison Castillo Designs showcases its namesake owner's bold, Otomi-inspired, Texas Forever line of scarves. The Shoppe also features her Spirit Snob collection of youthful, collegiate designs (including, of course, TCU motifs). Castillo established AC Designs in 2017 and has gained an enthusiastic following for her vibrant scarves. She has plans to create more accessories and houseware products soon.
A Friendly Arrangement, by mm floral design, offers a variety of unique blooming creations for purchase in store. Mother-daughter owners Maggie and Suzanne Moore are known for their unique custom silk and preserved botanical arrangements. The brand also carries Wexel floating acrylic frames, as well as Laura Park bed linens and pillows.
Sevargo specializes in unique home and party goods. With a whimsical eye toward entertaining, owner-designer Andi Severin Goins creates custom invites and holiday cards, coasters, cups, napkins, stationery, and more. Sevargo is debuting a new line of holiday throw pillows at The Shoppe.
The Shoppe at WestBend is open from 11am-6 pm Tuesday through Sunday at 1701 River Run Dr., Ste. 181.
