Japanese Daiso chain opens in North Richland Hills with special perk

Cute Japanese store Daiso, known for its discount prices and cutesy products, is opening a store in North Richland Hills. According to a release, the store will open at The Crossing, 9147 Grapevine Hwy. #430, North Richland Hills, where it will debut with Daiso's stylish in-house Threeppy line, the first store in Texas to do so.
Daiso is a forager's dream, with 70,000 products, with hundreds of new products introduced every month. Categories include kitchen, living, bath & toiletry, cosmetics, fashion, interior, toys & party goods, gardening, electrical accessories, foods, restaurant supplies, stationery, and Japanese goods.
Daiso launched Threeppy in Japan in 2018, starting out as a concept store in Japan and seemingly blossoming into a spinoff product line as well, with a focus on home decor, personal accessories, and kitchen essentials. The line consists of colorful home, storage, and kitchenware, as well as personal accessories with a brand philosophy, "Adorable, just for you!"
The release says this is the first location for Threeppy in the U.S. But another release says that it's the second. It's hard to confirm either way, since Daiso's corporate staff, public relations, and customer service are non-responsive and impossible to reach, either by phone or by email.

"We are thrilled to bring the Threeppy line to North Richland Hills," says Daiso Chief Retail Operations Officer Jack Williams in a statement. "This range will complement our existing Daiso offerings, providing a selection of affordable and stylish items. It's an exciting expansion, and we're eager to introduce this experience to the community."
Daiso is a Japanese owned global retail chain founded in Japan, known for its wide selection of unique and affordable products. The chain entered the U.S. market in 2005, with its U.S. headquarters in Anaheim, California. They opened their first store in Texas in Carrollton in 2015, and have since opened stores in Watauga, Arlington, Garland, Richardson, at the Shops at Park Lane in Dallas.
The new North Richland Hills store will feature Japanese-inspired home goods, kitchenware, beauty, stationery, nacks, home fragrances, hair accessories, car essentials, toys, and more.
"We are proud to offer the first U.S. store with Threeppy," said John Clarke, Chief Development Officer for Daiso USA. "With its focus on quality and design, we believe the line will resonate with our customers, and we're excited to expand its availability in the U.S."
The grand opening takes place April 5-6, with goodie bags to the first 100 customers who make a minimum purchase of $30 plus a special coupon offer available all weekend.
