The Foundry District in Fort Worth to get new wave of redevelopment
A historic district in Fort Worth is getting a makeover: The Foundry District, a collection of warehouses near downtown Fort Worth and the Cultural District, is slated for an adaptive reuse project that will transform one-time industrial spaces into an entertainment district.
Asana Partners purchased the District in September 2022 with the goal of redeveloping 65,000 square feet of the 98,000-square-foot property and creating a destination in Fort Worth, by adding retail, dining, gathering spaces, amenities, showrooms, and creative office space.
According to a release, the redevelopment is scheduled to be complete in spring 2025.
“Dallas-Fort Worth is an attractive investment market for us and home to some of the most authentic neighborhood retail destinations in the Southwest,” says Asana Partners Senior Director of Investments Brad Kantrowitz in a statement. “With The Foundry District, we see a great opportunity to enhance the area and offerings for visitors while capturing the legacy and charm that draw people here.”

The property is anchored by Inspiration Alley, named by Forbes as one of the top outdoor art experiences in the United States with its more than 70 pieces of public art.
Their goal is to preserve existing buildings and retain elements of the past and create a walkable community. Dallas-based design firm GFF will oversee the project.
Plans include:
- reinventing the elevated loading docks as open-air dining space
- improving the outdoor gallery and alley area
- transforming surface parking lots into gathering spaces and patios
They're seeking new tenants to join already-existing businesses such as Salute Wine Bar, M&O Grill and Hoppin’, Fort Worth’s first self-pour taproom, recently celebrated its grand opening at the District.
