These are the 12 best food and drink events in Fort Worth this week
Super Bowl Sunday combined with Valentine’s Day weekend makes for one busy week of events. Many restaurants will be swamped on February 14 (see a full Valentine’s Day dining list here), but there are several other unique opportunities to celebrate love this week, including a champagne dinner, doughnut and beer pairing, and a latte art class with bubbly.
Thursday, February 10
Galentine’s Night Out at Troy’s
The Texas Live! restaurant and bar named for star Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman will host a mixology class especially for gal-pals. Participants will shake up two custom cocktails with Hendrick’s gin. Class will start at 6:30 pm, but arrive any time after 5 pm to partake a build-your-own gin and tonic station. There’ll be half-priced wine, margaritas, and appetizers all night, plus live music starting at 8 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Piroshky Bakery Pick-Up at Martin House Brewing Company
Seattle’s famed Piroshky Piroshky bakery is going on a national tour, and Fort Worth is on the list of stops. Place your pre-order for the renowned Russian hand pies by 2 pm Wednesday for Friday pick-up at Martin House Brewing Company. There’s a $50 minimum and pick-up is from 4-6 pm.
Love the Wine You’re With Champagne Wine Dinner at Hotel Vin
Celebrate Valentine's Day early during this four-course dinner paired exclusively with champagne. Set to the take place in one of the ballrooms in Grapevine’s Hotel Vin, the dinner menu will offer foie gras torchon, lobster bisque, black truffle beef Wellington, and blood orange and champagne crème brulee. Dinner is $210 per person and begins at 7 pm. A reception with wine starts at 6 pm and is an additional $35.
Valentine’s Packages at FunkyTown Donuts
The gourmet doughnut shop is offering several dough-licious options for Valentine’s festivities and gifting. Packages range from the $15 box of XOXO-shaped doughnuts with chocolate covered strawberries to the $35 doughnut and sparkling wine pairing kit. Orders must be placed at least 24 hours in advance and pick-up is available Friday through Sunday.

Mutts Love with Rahr to the Rescue
The dog park and cantina will host an all-day adoption event in partnership with Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. They'll offer $4 Rahr drafts all day, and anyone who adopts will receive a free one-year membership to the dog park. The event will run from 11 am-5 pm.
Sweetheart Wine Trail in Grapevine
Visit five different downtown Grapevine wineries during this go-at-your-own-pace wine tasting. Each winery will share three tastes plus a food pairing. Choose the winery where you’d like to pick up your tasting glass and ticket, then proceed to sip and stroll. Tickets are $45 in advance or $50 at the door, if available. Participating wineries include Messina Hof Grapevine Winery, Grape Vine Springs Winery, Sloan and Williams Winery, Bull Lion Winery, and Landon Winery. Visit all five wineries any time from 11 am to 6 pm.
Valentine’s Beer & Donut Pairing at Hop and Sting Brewing Co.
Who needs fine dining when you can indulge in beer and doughnuts for Valentine's Day? The downtown Grapevine brewery will pair four brews with four gourmet doughnuts from Peace, Love and Little Donuts of Southlake. Here’s the lineup: Weisser Time Hefeweizen and Banana Crunch doughnut; Ain’t It Funky Peaches & Cream Sour Ale and Raspberry Lemonade doughnut; Red Velvet Cookie Ale and Chocolate Chip doughnut; Frigid Underworld Espresso Stout and Maple Bacon doughnut. The flight is $19.95 per person, including tax and gratuity, and will be offered from 12-4 pm. Live music will entertain all day.

Big Game Watch Party at Third Rail
Third Rail is the indoor live music venue and bar inside Harvest Hall, Grapevine’s train station-themed food hall connected to Hotel Vin. The venue will host a Super Bowl watch party with frozen margarita specials, deals on beer buckets, menu specials from each kitchen, and giveaways. Seating is first-come-first-serve and the party begins at 5 pm.
Super Bowl Watch Party at Flying Saucer
Go for $4 Texas draft beers all day along with a chance to win prizes during a game of Super Bowl squares. Invite friends, as groups of eight or more receive a complimentary pretzel platter. The party starts at the downtown pub at 5 pm.
Monday, February 14
Virtual Beignet Making Class hosted by Dusty Biscuit
The owner of Dusty Biscuit Beignets will lead a Valentine's night virtual class in which he gives step-by-step instruction on how to make his famous beignets at home. All skill levels are welcome, even kids (with adult supervision). It's $20 per group, and the class takes place from 7-8 pm. Tickets and more information here.
Valentine’s Latte Art Class at Lazy Daisy Coffee
Skip the crowded restaurants and take a latte art class instead. The Camp Bowie Boulevard coffee shop will treat class participants to a glass of prosecco while they learn how to create a heart out of latte foam. The class is $20 per person and begins at 5:30 pm.
Brewing Up Love Beer Dinner at Funky Picnic Brewery & Cafe
The Southside brewery and restaurant will serve a five-course beer pairing dinner both Monday and Tuesday nights. Menu highlights include sea bass with red pepper sauce, petite filet with red wine reduction, and a chocolate Swiss roll with strawberry puree. Dinner is $90 per person, including tax and gratuity, and begins at 7 pm both nights.
