New restaurant brings biscuits and cool patio to buzzy Arlington center
Hooray for good news, especially about biscuits: The Biscuit Bar opened a new location in Arlington, at Champions Park, the mixed-use center at I-30 and Collins Street, on April 29. Given the coronavirus pandemic, the restaurant will start with takeout and delivery only.
The restaurant is at 1707 N. Collins St., in what was previously a location of Urban Bricks, the San Antonio-based pizza chain, which lasted in the space less than a year.
The Biscuit Bar is a fast-casual concept focused on biscuits that was founded in 2018 by husband-and-wife Jake & Janie Burkett. They opened their first location in Plano, followed by locations near SMU and Deep Ellum. Arlington is the fourth, and there's a fifth on tap set to open at Fort Worth Stockyards in summer 2020.
The location, which was originally set to open in March, has received a cool transformation including a facade featuring a new 2-story covered patio, with TVs and views of AT&T Stadium, making it a destination once sporting venues and restaurants are allowed to reopen.
Janie Burkett offers a statement of thanks to customers, saying, "We are so thankful for the continued support throughout the entire metroplex at all of our locations. It is not easy being a small business owner these days, but we are grateful for our customers and we will make it through this together. Tarrant County—we are ready to serve you some comfort food!"
It's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, from 8 am–8 pm daily, with a menu of savory and sweet biscuits, tots, and taps, plus new batch and bundle specials for your coronavirus needs.
You can order online or via The Biscuit Bar app for take-out, or delivery is available through DoorDash.
