Cookie wars are on in north Fort Worth with 2 sweet openings
UPDATE: Crumbl will open on Friday, December 18, and they're giving away free cookies all day, 8 am-midnight, per a Facebook post.

North Fort Worth is swimming in chocolate chips, as two popular chains specializing in cookie deliveries have new locations in the works, and they're almost mere blocks apart.
It's a cookie faceoff.
In one corner, you have veteran cookie company Tiff's Treats, who opened a location on North Freeway on September 21.
In the other corner, you have ambitious newcomer Crumbl Cookies, who will open at Presidio Crossing later this year.
Here are the sweet details:
Crumbl Cookies
A location of the Crumbl Cookies chain will open at the Presidio Crossing shopping center at 9001 Tehama Ridge Pkwy., at the corner of Presidio Vista Dr.
This will be the second Crumbl Cookies in Fort Worth; the first opened at 2300 W. Seventh St. in the Left Bank area, next to Hopdoddy's, in February. There's also a location in Southlake which opened in 2019.
Crumbl was founded in Utah in 2017, and specializes in delivery at all hours, including late at night, which is kind of their signature thing. They've expanded quickly since, with more than 111 storefronts in 20 states.
They have a weekly rotating menu with up to 120 cookie options that includes four specialty flavors every week, in addition to their popular warm chocolate chip and chilled sugar.
They also serve cold milk and gourmet ice cream.
A company spokesperson said that the Presidio location will be open by the end of 2020.
Tiff's Treats
Austin-based cookie-delivery chain has opened a storefront in north Fort Worth at 9427 N. Fwy., near Heritage Trace Road.
This is the second Tiff's Treats location in Fort Worth; just like Crumbl, the first Tiff's is on West Seventh.
Tiff's was founded by two UT students in 1999. They opened their second store in Dallas in 2006 and have since expanded across Texas, with locations in Austin, College Station, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, as well as outside Texas to Atlanta, Nashville, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
This is their 60th store and the 16th in the DFW area.
They're very popular in the corporate and catering worlds. In addition to cookies, they have brownies, ice cream, and drinks.
They're offering contactless delivery but are also open for regular pickup, delivery, and walk-in business. Hours are Monday-Friday 9 am-10 pm, and 10 am-10 pm on weekends.
For this new location, they'll host a special drive-thru Grand Opening celebration on October 3. From 10 am-1 pm, they're giving out a box of six free cookies per vehicle to guests who RSVP and reserve a ticket at Heritage Trace Drive Thru. Tickets are limited and must be presented to receive free cookies. The store will be open for regular pickup, delivery and walk-in business during the Saturday event.
