Sugar and Spice
All you'll want for Christmas this year is the ease of an Eatzi's holiday meal
From parties to travel to festive family outings, there's a lot going on during the holidays. Why add to the chaos by spending a day (or more) in the kitchen, when Eatzi's Fort Worth can provide a delicious Christmas meal for next to no work?
Check one thing off your mile-long to-do list this holiday season by ordering your Christmas feast ahead of time. Simply visit the new University Park Village location or give them a call by December 23, and the chefs will take care of the rest. Orders can be picked up between December 8 and December 24, but remember that all Eatzi's locations are closed on Christmas Day.
Start the culinary celebration with such appetizers as spinach and crab dip, fried mac and cheese, bacon mushroom empanadas, and mini Maryland lump crab cakes.
Wow even the pickiest of relatives with a choice of chateaubriand with port wine demi-glace, 44 Farms Prime Black Angus sirloin roast (also with the port wine demi-glace), oven or Cajun-roasted turkey breast, or horseradish-crusted salmon filets. Cranberry sauce and black pepper and sage gravy cover all the sauce bases, while a Christmas salad with red wine-poached pears adds a bit of green to the table.
Some might argue that sides are the true stars of a holiday meal, and this selection doesn't disappoint. From a Gruyere and spinach gratin to cider-roasted winter vegetables, all the showstoppers are here. Your guests will surely load up on cornbread stuffing, macaroni and cheese, smashed sweet potatoes, butter-whipped potatoes, green bean amandine, and maple-Sriracha Brussels sprouts.
Fill the bread basket with savory (white and wheat Parker House rolls, jalapeño and classic cornbread) or sweet bakes (fruited brioche, Nutella babka, and stollen, a sweet and rich German holiday bread with rum-soaked dried fruit, smothered with sugary butter).
Speaking of traditional sweets, put together an array of desserts with mocha buche de Noel, apple pie, and a white chocolate praline torte. And they've got the cookies covered with a sampler platter, gingerbread men, and chocolate mice made from almond cookies and chocolate ganache.
