Where to find a tailgate vibe at Crockett Row's new Fort Worth food hall
When you visit Not Just Q at the newly opened Food Hall at Crockett Row, don't be alarmed by the truck that's sticking out of the wall.
It's just a clever nod to the barbecue restaurant's roots as a food truck, explains co-owner David Hawthorne. The former TCU football star, who runs Not Just Q with chef Eric Hansen, wanted to encourage a laid-back, relaxed vibe, "almost like a tailgate."
The menu boasts barbecue of all styles (from Carolina to Kansas City to Texas), along with scratch-made sides and other inventive dishes such as brisket nachos and tacos served with a Mexican slaw.
Food Hall diners can look forward to Fort Worth-only exclusives and a monthly rotating feature chosen by the customers themselves.
Watch Hawthorne discuss in the video above why it was time for Not Just Q to make the leap to brick-and-mortar, then head on out to try some 'cue for yourself.
