Top Fort Worth restaurants for dining in or takeout on New Year's Eve 2020
The end of 2020 can’t come fast enough for some, and these restaurants are already planning their farewell meals. Celebrate the end of one tumultuous year with New Year’s Eve dining specials, most of which are available for curbside pickup. From overnight stays at lavish hotels with dinner included to multicourse meals for two meant to be enjoyed at home, the options are many to close out the year in Fort Worth. AC Hotel Fort Worth Downtown
The brand-new downtown hotel will host a Great Gatsby-themed New Year’s Eve party, with packages that include an overnight stay for two guests. The socially-distant shin-dig starts at 9 pm and includes open beer and wine bar, party favors, live music by Latin Express, and a champagne toast with balloon drop at midnight. There’ll also be late-night light bites after the party. The $293 price includes an overnight stay and tax. Guests can also book the dinner package ($410 for two, includes tax) which comes with a four-course dinner before the party.
B&B Butchers & Restaurant
There is no prix-fixe menu this year to partake in New Year’s Eve dinner at the Shops at Clearfork steakhouse, but there will be plenty of fun 2021 swag for customers. Enjoy favorites like Wagyu carpaccio, brisket ravioli, and the famed $120 A5 Wagyu Katsu Sando. (If there was ever a reason to splurge, it would be the end of 2020.) Make reservations starting at 5 pm. The restaurant will stay open until 1 am.
Chef Point Restaurant & Bar
Both locations (Colleyville and Watauga) of Chef Franson Nwaeze’s gourmet restaurant will offer a special three-course dinner. Guests will start with pumpkin soup and can choose from teres major with green peppercorn sauce, mahi mahi, or basil and feta-stuffed chicken for the entrée, followed by chocolate mousse for dessert. A bottle of sparkling wine is included, and the $120 price is per couple. Note that the dinner will be offered all weekend, from December 31 to January 3, starting at 4 pm.
City Works Eatery & Pour House
The spacious Shops at Clearfork restaurant and bar will host “Brew Year’s Eve” featuring an evening of chef’s specials and recommended craft beer pairings. Visit for filet medallions ($28), short rib with bacon-tomato jam ($22), Cajun linguini ($14), or a hearty steak sandwich ($18). All guests will receive a complimentary glass of champagne. Reservations are encouraged. City Works will also serve its Rock n’ Roll recovery brunch on Friday.
Del Frisco’s Grille
Both the downtown Fort Worth and Southlake location will offer a prix-fixe three-course menu including a starter, entrée, dessert, and prosecco toast. Menu choices include signature items like the ahi tuna tacos and truffle deviled eggs, short rib stroganoff, and salted caramel pot de crème. Dinner is $65 per person. Upgrade to a signature entrée for $25 more.
Delta Hotels Dallas Southlake
Only 50 couples get to partake in the brand-new hotel’s exclusive overnight New Year’s Eve package, which includes dinner, dancing, and a midnight toast. Check in and start with a three-course dinner at the hotel’s Sky Creek Kitchen + Bar, where Dean Fearing, the “Father of Southwestern Cuisine,” leads the charge. Menu highlights include Akaushi beef tartare and pepitas-crusted lamb loin. Then ring in the New Year at a socially-distant party with live music. A late-night breakfast is included. The package is $600 per couple, and all attendees will be entered to win an all-expense paid package.
FnG Eats
Guests of the Keller restaurant can ring in the New Year with a three-course dinner, with seatings at 6:30 and 8 pm. Menu highlights include shrimp bisque, filet mignon, and flourless Kahlua chocolate ganache cake. Dinner is $45 per person and is also available for curbside pickup.
Hotel Vin
The new Grapevine Autograph Collection hotel will end 2020 with a lively “wine trip around the world” dinner and party. Guests will partake in a multicourse seated dinner paired with wines from France, Spain, Germany, California, New Zealand, and Greece. The 6 pm seating ($150 per person) includes five courses in the hotel’s Bacchus Kitchen + Bar with live music by Celestial Unplugged. The 9 pm seating ($210 per person) includes six courses served in the hotel’s Bordeaux Ballroom with live music by Celestial Clockwork and DJ Spunk and a champagne toast.
Magdalena's
Chef Juan Rodriguez's kitchen is doing a clever New Year's Eve "kit" to-go that includes six courses for two people, at one price of $150. Menu includes: Cheese and Charcuterie Board, Woodford Bourbon Glazed French Escargot, Lobster Bisque, Baby Beet, Brussels Sprout and Carrot Salad, Pasilla Mixe Crusted Rosewood Wagyu Ribeye or Fennel Pollen And Pistachio Crusted Chilean Salmon, and Passion Fruit and Key Lime Swirled Tart. Online orders must be submitted by 12 pm December 30 for pickup between 1-5 pm December 31.
Silver Fox
The University Drive steakhouse will offer a three-course New Year’s Eve menu for dine-in or curbside pickup, which comes with a salad, filet mignon with lobster tail, and chocolate ganache cake. The $250 price is for two, and a bottle of Schramsberg blanc de blancs is included.
Simply Fondue
The Sundance Square restaurant is offering a four-course, prix-fixe dinner package for 2 that includes individual salads, a shared cheese fondue appetizer, a prix-fixe entrée, and a shared chocolate fondue dessert. Each couple will receive party favors, a complimentary glass of champagne, and a $20 voucher for a future visit. It's $69 for an early seating, $89 for a late seating, and $30-$35 for children. Toro Toro & Worthington Renaissance
The flashy, Latin-inspired steakhouse located inside the expansive lobby level of downtown’s Worthington Renaissance hotel will host a New Year’s Eve worth staying the night. Guests can make reservations between 5 and 11 pm for a multicourse prix-fixe dinner ($75 per person, wine pairings may be added), which features filet mignon lobster Oscar with chipotle béarnaise. Book overnight accommodations (starting at $349) and partake in a socially-distant cocktail reception starting at 9 pm with live music, hors d’oeuvres, party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight. All overnight guests will receive 25 percent off the New Year’s Eve dinner and New Year’s Day brunch at Toro Toro. Both dinner are brunch also available to-go.
Truluck’s
The Southlake fine seafood destination is offering a four-course menu with lots of choices. Menu highlights range from stone crab claws and lobster bisque to New England scallops and chateaubriand for the carnivores. Dinner is $150 per person.
Wicked Butcher
After nine months of closure, Wicked Butcher inside downtown’s Sinclair Hotel has reopened just in time to bid 2020 goodbye. Make reservations now for a three-course prix-fixe dinner, including choice of starter, entrées like halibut, rack of lamb and filet, and a molten chocolate souffle, cherry crème brulee or cheese board. The menu is $75 per person, and wine pairings may be added for $25 more per person.
Winslow's Wine Cafe
The Camp Bowie Blvd. wine cafe is doing a four-course dinner with two seatings, at 6 and 8 pm, for $70 per person. Guitarist Dave Lincoln will perform live, and each guest will receive a complimentary glass of Prosecco for toasting. Also available a la carte for takeout. Wishbone & Flynt
Chef Stefon Rishel invites guests to say goodbye to 2020 with a multicourse wine dinner at his popular Near Southside restaurant, which features an elevated take on comfort food. The dinner is $150 per person and includes wine pairings. Upgrade to the VIP ticket ($225 per person) and head to the Amber Room for an after-party starting at 9 pm (Purchase the after-party ticket on its own for $75 per person.) Inside the hidden speakeasy guests will receive three craft cocktails, late-night bites and party favors to ring in the New Year at midnight.
