California dessert shop brings decadent chocolate and gelato to Euless

Gorgeous chocolate gelato from Tifa Chocolate and Gelato
A new dessert shop from California has made its official Texas debut: Called Tifa Chocolate and Gelato, it's a dessert utopia with gelato and chocolates in one location, now open in Euless at the Glade Parks shopping center at 1300 Red River Dr. #100, in a former eyelash studio.
Tifa was founded in California in 2007, starting out as an online chocolate company before evolving into a shop combining chocolate and gelato in 2008, with recipes developed by trained pastry chef, Candace Roño, daughter of founder Mike Ashamalla.
The brand has since expanded to eight shops in southern California, Arizona, North Carolina — and now Texas, thanks to franchisees Sanaa and Shazam Munir and Vardaan Qureshi. The Munirs have previous franchising experience, but this is their first Tifa Chocolate and Gelato shop; they are also opening a location in Lewisville at The Realm at Castle Hills.
Tifa offers 24 flavors of gelato, boxed chocolates, and coffee drinks. Gelato is made in-house daily, with flavors varying by location. Euless favors out-of-the-box flavors such as chocolate coconut, almond chip, and strawberry balsamic. A standout so far has been the cookie butter. A double-scoop cone starts at $8.
Their chocolates range from boxes of two to 24, starting at $4. Flavors include sea salt caramel, dark maple, dark raspberry, and tiramisu. They carry a selection of Dolfin Belgian chocolate and Francois Praulus French chocolate, two high-end chocolate brand names, in unique flavors like Earl Grey tea or dulce de leche with puffed rice.
In addition to gelato, they offer sugar-free, vegan, and dairy-free sorbettos, cookies, and teas. Beverages include a rich drinking chocolate, a mix of hot chocolate and ganache (a melted chocolate and cream blend).
“It’s a thicker chocolate, and you can pick from different spices to put in there, like cinnamon, pumpkin spice, or red pepper,” Sanaa says. “We also offer a choice of milk, white, or dark chocolate. We top it with whipped cream and a little piece of cookie.”
Sanaa says they chose this Euless location because it has everything you could need in one place.
“I’ve brought my kids to Glade Parks events before, and I love the area, the vibe, and the shops and restaurants,” Sanaa says.
