Unique pizzeria Delucca brings gaucho-style pizza to Alliance Fort Worth
A one-of-a-kind pizzeria has opened in north Fort Worth: Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine, known for its "rodizio" style of pizza service, opened at 9574 Sage Meadow Tr., in the former Zoe's Kitchen at Alliance Town Center.
According to a release, it opened on May 20.
Rodizio-style is what is found at Brazilian-style churrascuria steakhouses like Fogo de Chao and Texas de Brazil, where servers come around and dole out unlimited bites of meat to customers on request.
At Delucca, it's pizza instead of meat, for $26 per person.
It starts with family-style arugula salad, followed by lobster bisque and Kobe beef meatballs.
Pizza categories include traditional, specialty, seasonal, Brazilian, dessert, vegan, kosher, and gluten-free.
Varieties include Turkish lamb, honey sopressata, Mexican elote, chicken tikka masala, Nutella, dulce de leche, margherita, cupping pepperoni, 4-cheese & truffle, vodka sauce & mushroom, white pizza with spring onions, and Thai chicken.
There are also craft cocktails and wines, priced from $30 to $125.
A separate brunch menu, served Sundays from 12-3 pm, has six brunch pizzas: Classic Breakfast, Croque Madame, Italian Brunch, Smoked Salmon, Eggs Benedict, and Spinach & Bacon Quiche.
Delucca was founded in 2018 by Evandro Caregnato and Vanderleia Mallmann, who took their experience from having worked at Texas de Brazil and applied it to the cuisine of pizza. They sold the concept in late 2022 to Scott C. Smith and John C. Miller, former executives at Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, Gordon Ramsay North America, and Denny’s who both like having a middle initial C.
In addition to Alliance, they own five other locations and start franchising in June.
