Ice cream shop with espresso and wine to open in southeast Fort Worth

Rendon Creamery
There’s an ice cream shop opening in Fort Worth with a little something extra: Called Rendon Creamery, it’ll serve not only ice cream, but also coffee, espresso drinks, beer, and wine.
The shop is at 5417 Rendon Rd. #C, in a location that used to be a paint and body shop, where it will open on June 6.
Rendon Creamery comes from husband-and-wife Sarah Bhimani and Zanith Khoja, an entrepreneurial duo who are already invested in the area: A few doors down from the creamy, they own a convenience store and restaurant, Sam’s Grill & Bar, which has earned raves on Google for its friendly service and excellent food.
“But the community was missing a family-friendly place and we wanted to provide a spot where people could slow down, indulge, and connect — something we ourselves enjoy as young adults," Bhimani says.
To that end, they worked up a formula with coffee, ice cream, wine, and craft beer, plus pastries, small bites, and snacks.
They'll offer 12 flavors of ice cream in creative flavors such as Texas praline, honey bacon, and rainbow sherbet. Some flavors such as white chocolate raspberry cheesecake will incorporate desserts from Sam’s Grill and Bar.
Their coffee program will include drip coffee, espresso drinks like lattes, matcha tea, and chai; they'll source their beans from Dallas-based Tre Stelle Coffee, which specializes in beans from Colombia and Ethiopia.
They'll have an especially robust wine list with red, white, rose, and champagne, with about 20 varieties of each.
"From a single scoop of ice cream with toppings to a specialty latte to a glass of wine or beer, the idea is to give families a chance to experience affordability and create a neighborhood spot," she says.
"As we open and establish ourselves, we would love to have coffee conversations, seasonal flavor launch parties, faith related meetups, acoustic shows, spirits nights for neighboring schools, and local vendor pop ups."
