Celeb chef Fabio Viviani goes sweet on Fort Worth with exclusive treat
Celebrity chef Fabio Viviani really knows his way into Fort Worth diners' hearts: Jars by Fabio Viviani, the dessert chain that Viviani founded in 2021, has debuted a limited-edition purple-tinted treat honoring the Horned Frogs, the football team at TCU — and it's available exclusively in Fort Worth.
Called the "Froggy Bliss," it's a decadent banana blueberry cheesecake in a jar, with layers of banana cheesecake custard, sponge cake, blueberries, graham cracker, and buttercream.
The savvy inclusion of blueberry gives it that essential purple hue, paying homage to the team's iconic colors. The custard is a deep purple while the buttercream is a lovely lavender. Sitting atop the plume of cream is a trio of blueberries and a cute little purple-and-white chocolate frog.
The dessert is at $8, although obviously it would be a bargain at any price.
Longtime fans of Top Chef will recall that Fabio was a contestant in 2008, voted "fan favorite," and among the most engaging contestants to appear on the series.
He founded Jars as a gourmet quick-serve dessert concept serving classic desserts from around the world in a single-serve jar. He's always had a soft spot for Fort Worth, opening his first DFW Jars in Fort Worth in January 2024, at 3000 S. Hulen St. #150 (with the help of husband-and-wife franchisees Jason and Tejal Wible, of course!).
There are now six locations, including the original in Chicago, as well as a location in Dallas on Greenville Avenue, which opened in May 2024.
Jars' menu features decadent treats, pies, and desserts such as red velvet cheesecake, banana cream pie, tiramisu, and gluten-free chocolate caramel cheesecake.
The limited-edition treat will be available throughout football season, which ends on November 30.
