Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders sweetheart unveils new wedding details
A fan favorite from the hit Netflix series America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is lifting the veil on new details of her gorgeous wedding: Reece Weaver married her college beau Will Allman in the spring - complete with a performance of "Thunderstruck."
The University of Alabama sweethearts wed in the bride’s home state of Florida on April 20, 2024. Despite the couple's posts of gorgeous photos on Instagram in the last few months, the first behind-the-scenes details were reported byPeople magazine on August 9 (aka week one of Cowboys pre-season).
On America’s Sweethearts, Weaver was a DCC rookie known as a sweet Southern belle as devoted to her religious faith and her fiancé as she was to making the team. Her romance and engagement to Allman, her first boyfriend, was part of her story arc.
According to People, the ceremony took place outdoors at the Barn At Cottonwood Ranch in Callahan, Florida. Weaver walked down the aisle to a song from her favorite Disney movie, Tangled.
She wore a strapless A-line gown from The White Magnolia Bridal, while the groom wore a light blue suit in keeping with the event’s spring color palette.
In photos captured by Laura Perez Photography and published in People, Weaver and Allman can be seen exchanging vows before a large wooden cross adorned with flowers. According to People, they took Holy Communion as part of the ceremony, and the officiant offered prayers for them.
At the reception, the magazine says, their 250 guests feasted on Mission BBQ and two cakes - a tiered confection by Crème de la Cocoa and one in the shape of the Alabama's football field, where the couple met.
The wedding reportedly was attended by several fellow DCC cheerleaders, so naturally a performance of their iconic “Thunderstruck” routine took place later in the evening.
