Texas-sized Celebration
Fort Worth Rodeo gets glamorous grand entrance at Junior League gala
Hundreds of Fort Worth philanthropists and patrons of both Junior League of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo descended on "the dirt floor" of Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, January 11 for Junior League's 13th annual Grand Entry Gala.
The Western-glam ball was co-chaired by Caroline Padron and Sarah Shaw, with Molly and Rusty Reid and family serving as honorary chairs.
Junior League president Sarah Washington and fund development vice president Rachel Navejar Philips thanked attendees and highlighted the impact of JLFW’s mission.
Guests, decked out in cowgirl-chic 'fits and cowboy-best threads, dined on a sumptuous meal courtesy of Reata and competed for fabulous raffle prizes.
Featured entertainers the Randy Rogers Band gave a Texas-sized performance that kept guests singing along to hits like "Kiss Me in the Dark" and "San Antone," and two-stepping into the night.
All proceeds from Grand Entry Gala go to the Junior League's mission to promote volunteerism, empower women, and improve the lives of women and children in greater Fort Worth.
Junior League continues its partnership with the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo by "yelling and selling" official rodeo programs throughout the event, which runs through February 8 at Dickies Arena.
Spotted in the crowd, enjoying the evening, were a who's who that included Fort Worth mayor Mattie Parker, Ed Bass, Sasha Bass, Eric Nelsen, Sainty Nelsen, Bailey McGuire, Kristin McGuire, Leigh Brown, Wynn Brown, Edward Phillips, Shay Gipson, Gerald Gipson, Olivia Kearney, Debbie Head, the JLFW Board of Directors, and hundreds more guests and supporters.
