American Airlines offers new nonstop flights from DFW to 3 vacation-worthy U.S. cities
American Airlines is adding direct flights from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to three far-flung American cities: Santa Barbara, California; Bozeman, Montana; and Boise, Idaho.
The trio of flights, which begin June 2, are part of a lineup of 20 new destinations being added by American Airlines, says spokesperson LaKesha Brown, in response to increased customer demand. "We monitor demand in various cities, and these are cities where it was warranted," she says.
These airports were previously served via connections in cities such as Phoenix; now they'll be nonstop flights. Santa Barbara and Bozeman flights will use the CRJ-900, a regional jet with seating for both first class and main cabin. Darling, you simply must have a first class option.
Service from DFW to the three cities will consist of one daily trip each way:
- Departing DFW at 11 am, arriving in Santa Barbara at 12:40 pm; and leaving Santa Barbara at 1:50 pm, arriving in Dallas at 7:10 pm
- Departing DFW at 4:45 pm, arriving in Boise at 7:07 pm; and leaving Boise at 7:17 am, arriving in Dallas at 11:30 am
- Departing DFW at 10:50 am, arriving in Bozeman at 1:02 pm; and leaving Bozeman at 1:33 pm, arriving in Dallas at 5:34 pm
Brown says that the new flights give travelers better options if they're traveling to other cities.
"Once you get into DFW, you can connect anywhere in the U.S., so it's good for travelers who want to connect to domestic and international flights," she says. "And then, we're also right at the start of our peak traveling season."
To mark the occasion, Santa Barbara's marketing team is coming to Dallas to host events and giveaways, including a free yoga class on June 1 from 6-8:30 pm at Main Street Garden Park, and offering samplings of a special-edition Pinot Noir on June 2 from 6-8:30 pm at the Art Wine Walk in the Bishop Arts District.
On both June 1 and June 2, a Visit Santa Barbara photo bus is going to be driving around Dallas-Fort Worth, serving Santa Barbara-style drinks and tickets to win prizes, including a getaway trip and hotel stays. Boise and Bozeman, where are your go-team-go's?
