Trinity Metro to add trains from Fort Worth to Grapevine for holiday

TEXRail
Due to anticipated heavy holiday-related ridership this upcoming weekend, Trinity Metro TEXRail is beefing up service.
The agency will add three extra westbound trains from Grapevine/Main Street Station to Fort Worth T&P Station on Saturday evening, December 20.
Trinity Metro is a regional transportation system and is the sole owner and operator of Trinity Metro TEXRail, a 27-mile commuter rail line that runs between downtown Fort Worth and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport’s Terminal B.
According to a release, they're making the adjustment after having witnessed a big increase last weekend. More than 8,000 rides were recorded on TEXRail during its regular operation on Saturday December 13.
Trinity Metro Chief Operating Officer Reed Lanham says these additional trains are in response to the ridership boost that results from the heightened attendance at popular attractions and activities taking place in Grapevine, the self-styled "Christmas Capital of Texas."
"We recognized the need to accommodate more riders and we adjusted accordingly," Lanham says.
Extra trains
The westbound TEXRail schedule of departures from Grapevine/Main Street Station will be expanded as follows (the new/added trains are in bold):

- Regularly scheduled train at 8:50 pm
- New train at 9:20 pm
- Regularly scheduled train at 9:50 pm

This special service is a one-time offer. It will not extend beyond Grapevine to DFW Airport and is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025 only.
