The Fort Worth area has plenty of options when it comes to celebrating the 4th of July, as many cities in and around Tarrant County put on their own events. Some are big, some are small, but all guarantee a great way to gather for Independence Day.

Saturday, June 28
4th of July Celebration in Denton
The 4th of July Celebration in Denton is a two-day event which starts with the annual Yankee Doodle Parade on June 28, featuring a variety of floats, organizations, and more. The parade takes place in and around Downtown Denton Square. On July 3, the Denton Noon Kiwanis Club will bring back the city’s fireworks show for Independence Day. Prior to the fireworks will be live music performances. That event takes place at the North Texas Fairgrounds.
Thursday, July 3
Northeast Tarrant Chamber presents Family 4th
The North Tarrant Chamber Family 4th event, presented by Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, and Watauga, will feature festivities like inflatables/bounce houses, food trucks, community performances and entertainment by DJ Rob, a corndog eating contest, the release of 50 white doves, a patriotic salute to veterans, a performance by the Texas Jazz All Stars, and a fireworks show. Fireworks can be viewed from the parking lots of the Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum in Haltom City and BISD Plaza in North Richland Hills.
City of Arlington presents Light Up Arlington
Light Up Arlington is an Independence Day celebration that includes some of the top musical acts in Dallas-Fort Worth, vendors, food trucks, and kid-friendly fun. The evening ends with a big fireworks show. The event takes place in and around downtown Arlington.
Southlake Stars & Stripes
Southlake Stars & Stripes features two stages of entertainment in Southlake Town Square, featuring Empty Pockets, the Southlake Community Band, and more. The event will also include family activities, concessions, and a fireworks show at the end of the night.
Hurst Stars & Stripes
The annual City of Hurst Stars & Stripes will feature live music by Grady Spencer & the Work and Professor D, food trucks, a kids area, and a fireworks show. Free shuttles are available from a designated parking at North East Mall.
City of Keller presents Keller Lights
Keller Lights is an annual celebration celebrating American independence that combines live music, food trucks, a hot dog eating contest, and a grand finale of fireworks. The event takes place at Keller City Hall.
Mansfield Rocks Fireworks Spectacular
The Mansfield Rocks Fireworks Spectacular is a pyrotechnics-only event, with the show launched from near the corner of Heritage Parkway and National Parkway. Due to ongoing construction at Mansfield Sports Park (formerly Big League Dreams), which is slated to reopen later this summer, there will be no official watch event for 2025. Hawaiian Falls will still be holding their Fireworks Frenzy After Hours watch party (featuring a concert by LOVER, an Eras Tour-inspired Taylor Swift tribute artist), but admittance to the waterpark is not necessary to view the fireworks.
Friday, July 4
Arlington Independence Day Parade
The Arlington Independence Day Parade is the oldest event in Arlington and one of the largest 4th of July parades in Texas. Celebrating its 60th anniversary, the 2025 theme is “Shining Bright Since ’65, Arlington Independence Day Parade, Diamond Jubilee.” The parade, which features 120 entries, steps off at the intersection of West St. and Mitchell St., traveling around downtown Arlington.
Granbury's Hometown 4th of July Festival
Granbury's annual Hometown 4th of July Festival features a morning parade beginning at Granbury High School and ending around the downtown square. The parade stretches over two miles long, allowing for plenty of viewing opportunities. During the day, visitors can enjoy an arts and crafts fair. Around 9:45 pm, fireworks will be shot off over the lake directly behind the Pearl Street Bridge, which can be seen all over Granbury.
Flower Mound presents Independence Fest
Flower Mound's Independence Fest features a full day of events. The event kicks off with the annual Children’s Parade to Leonard and Helen Johns Park at 10 am, where there will be kids’ activities, face painting, and hot dogs and lemonade. The evening portion, starting at 5 pm at Bakersfield Park, features live entertainment on the main stage, led by headliner Chris Janson. There will also be food trucks, vendor booths, a car show, a kids’ zone, and fireworks.
City of Bedford presents 4thFest
Bedford 4thFest at Generations Park at Boys Ranch will feature live music by '80s Mix Tape (an '80s party band), a kids zone, food trucks, and a fireworks show that will begin around 9:30 pm. Visitors can bring lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, and non-alcoholic beverages (no glass containers are permitted).
Fort Worth’s Fourth
Fort Worth’s Fourth is an Independence Day celebration featuring festival food and cold drinks; kids’ activities like face painting, inflatables, water slides, a zip line, and more; live music from Metalshop & The Rock Band from the U.S. Airforce Bands; and fireworks along the banks of the Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion.
Hilltop Truck Park presents July 4th at Hilltop
July 4th at Hilltop Truck Park in Northlake will feature bull riding, live music by Bronson Louis, face painting, a hat bar, special cocktails and a full bar, and a fireworks show after sunset.
City of Burleson presents Red, White & BTX
The City of Burleson's Red, White & BTX, taking place at Chisenhall Fields, is an evening event featuring food trucks, a concert featuring singer/songwriter Dolan, and a fireworks show. Earlier in the day is the Lions Club Parade, starting at 9 am at the corner of SE Gregory and SW Johnson Avenue.
Grapevine presents July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza
The City of Grapevine may not put on a festival-style event like other cities, but their annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza is still a great spectacle, featuring fireworks shot of over Lake Grapevine, set to patriotic music. There will be a variety of viewing locations at or near the lake; locations will be announced in the weeks leading up to July 4.
