Bass Hall completes comeback with lineup of country legends and Fort Worth favorites
Performing Arts Fort Worth, the nonprofit owner and operator of Bass Performance Hall, has unveiled the lineup for the 2021-2022 BNSF Popular Entertainment Series, starting with Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis' Holiday Shindig on December 1.
With the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra returning to the venue later this month and Broadway shows returning in October, this series was the final piece in bringing Bass Hall's offerings back to the full strength it was prior to the pandemic.
Following the return of fan favorites Robison and Willis for their annual holiday show at McDavid Studio, country music legends The Gatlin Brothers and Crystal Gayle will appear together for the very first time on the Bass Hall stage for another holiday show on December 13. Robert Earl Keen will then ring in the new year a little early December 30.
2022 will bring something for families when Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Live! comes to town on April 5, featuring Daniel Tiger, his family, O the Owl, Miss Elaina, Katerina Kittycat, Prince Wednesday, and more familiar friends. Finally, fans can travel back in time on May 4 with The British Invasion - Live on Stage, an all-new theatrical and concert event that showcases popular music from that era, including songs from The Rolling Stones, Dave Clark 5, The Animals, The Kinks, and Dusty Springfield.
Although not officially part of the series, Performing Arts Fort Worth will present Sounds of Resilience on August 22, a special one-off event featuring performances by Brian Kieta, Taylor Pace, Summer Dean, Juan Ospina, Ginny Mac, and Jeremiah Miller. They were the six local artists chosen to receive $5,000 grants as part of the Sound of Resilience Grant Program. Each will showcase their own original songs they submitted for the program, as well as perform with their fellow finalists live on stage.
“We are so excited not just to return to live theater, but to welcome back the best of live entertainment, from concerts to holiday shows to family entertainment, right here in Fort Worth,” said Performing Arts Fort Worth President and CEO Dione Kennedy in a statement.
Individual tickets to all six shows will go on sale on Friday, August 13. Tickets may be purchased online at basshall.com or by calling the Performing Arts Fort Worth Ticket Office at 817-212-4280. The physical box office remains closed at this time.
