Fun new Southlake attraction lets guests star in their own game show

Southlake, come on down: A TV-style game show experience called Game Show Studio is spinning into town.
Located inside Red Door Escape Room at 280 Commerce St., Ste. 285, the immersive attraction has opened softly, but will officially debut Saturday, September 12, says a release.
Game Show Studio invites guests to become the star of their own game show, with lights and studio effects as well as rapid-fire trivia and physical challenges — blending the energy of classic television game shows with modern group play.
The Southlake studio is the second in DFW, following one that debuted inside Red Door in Fort Worth's Montgomery Plaza in 2025.
Guests can take on more than 13 games, competing in a Hollywood-style studio setting. Games have clever names that nod to famous TV game shows, including:
- Name That Price: Scale a nine-foot Plinko Board and compete in a battle to see who can name the price.
- Wheel of Wonder: Spin, solve puzzles, and win prizes competing against friends and family.
- Matchup Madness: Two teams compete to write answers on a white board.
- Push Your Luck: Earn points by pushing the big button to stop the "Rand-O-Matic" roulette board, but watch out for "Wonks" that can gobble up points.
Game Show Studio is family friendly and designed for groups of eight to more than 20 people and offers 60-minute, host-led experiences. It's geared toward birthday parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate events, and other group outings, a release notes.
The attraction was co-founded by Fort Worth native Julian Wagner and Jack Slayton in Rosedale, Minnesota, in 2023. The company has locations in several cities, including Houston, and the Southlake opening marks its sixth studio inside a Red Door venue.
Game Show Studio is part of a wave of similar concepts pulling from television culture, such as Great Big Game Room which opened at Grandscape in The Colony in 2023, and Only Murders in the Building, a Hulu-themed escape room that opened briefly in Grapevine in 2025.
DFW-based Red Door Escape Room, which has more than 20 locations nationwide, has partnered with Game Show Studio to add the game-show experience to its venues.
“We've built an incredible partnership with Game Show Studio over the past few years as we've seen it be the perfect experience to complement our escape rooms,” says Nick Madden, CEO of Red Door Escape Room, in the release. “Our Southlake location has a special place in our hearts since it is where we started out, and we're excited to bring a new fun-filled experience that we know the community will love.”
The Southlake studio will celebrate its grand opening beginning at 11 am Saturday, September 12, with festivities throughout the weekend. Guests can tour the venue, try out mini-games, win giveaways, and book events with an exclusive $25-per-ticket discount.
Game Show Studio will be open from 11 am-8:50 pm Sunday-Thursday and 9:45 am-10:35 pm Friday-Saturday; tickets are $37.95 and timed entry can be booked.
