Stage West presents The Importance of Being Earnest
In The Importance of Being Earnest, there are two rich and eligible English bachelors, both pretending to be a man named Ernest, because they are trying to woo two ladies who have decided they are all about that name. But when their romantic schemes collide, the whole charade unravels in a whirlwind of wacky surprises and dazzling wit. The production runs through September 22 at Stage West.
Sublime with Rome in concert
It's been quite the musical journey for bands with the name "Sublime" in them. The original Sublime released three albums in '90s before disbanding when lead singer Bradley Nowell died. They reformed in 2009 with new lead singer Rome Ramirez, hence the different name. That version of the band went on to release four more albums, including a new self-titled record that they are saying is their final one. They'll play at Billy Bob's Texas as part of The Farewell Tour.

The show takes place through Sunday at Fort Worth Convention Center.
Fort Worth Fringe Festival
The Fort Worth Fringe Festival is an annual performance festival, co-produced by Theatre Network of Texas, Inc. and Arts Fort Worth, that features a variety of acts ranging from rarely-produced theatre, dance, storytelling, poetry, and more. Fifteen different programs will be performed multiple times over three days at the festival, taking place through Sunday at Arts Fort Worth.
Magnolia at the Modern: Good One
In India Donaldson's insightful, piercing debut, 17-year-old Sam (Lily Collias) is forced to play mediator and peacemaker while on a three-day backpacking trip in the Catskills with her father (James Le Gros) and his oldest friend (Danny McCarthy), whose gently contentious back-and-forth threatens to reach a boiling point as their trek goes along. The film will screen six times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents "Tchaikovsky’s Sixth and Sibelius’ Violin Concerto"
The 2024-25 season opening concert from the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will feature Tchaikovsky's “Pathétique” (“Passionate Symphony”), an abstract exploration of the depth of human feeling. Led by Music Director Robert Spano and violinist James Ehnes, they will also perform Sibelius’ Violin Concerto and Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overture. There will be three performances through Sunday at Bass Performance Hall.
Trace Adkins in concert
Country singer Trace Adkins is nearing the 30th anniversary of his debut album, a career that has seen very few dips. It took until Adkins' 17th studio album, 2021's The Way I Wanna Go, for him not to finish in the top 10 on the Billboard Country chart, a sustained run of success that would be enviable for any of his peers. He'll play at Will Rogers Auditorium.
Hip Pocket Theatre presents Big Love
Based on the Greek play The Suppliants by Aeschylus, Big Love is a play that is lyrical, sexy, beautiful, bloody, hilarious, and untamed like a free-flowing poem without rules, yet firmly anchored to a classical structure. The production runs through September 29 at Hip Pocket Theatre.
Kaitlin Butts in concert
Since releasing her debut album in 2015, Kaitlin Butts has become a favorite on the Red Dirt country circuit, working with a variety of local and regional artists, and even marrying one of them, Flatland Cavalry lead singer Cleto Cordero. She'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of her new EP, Hunt You Down (Dressed To Kill).

Fortnite Championship Series - Global Championship 2024
Esports have become a massive industry in the last 10-15 years, with streaming platforms like YouTube and Twitch allowing gamers to demonstrate their skills far beyond their own homes. Few games are bigger in the Esports landscape than Fortnite, in which individuals or teams compete in a battle royale format that is notable for being bloodlessly violent. The best of the best will compete for the Global Championship at Dickies Arena on Saturday and Sunday.
Fort Worth Art Dealers Association presents Fall Gallery Night
Twice a year, the Fort Worth Art Dealers Association invites visitors to take in the visual arts and the community’s unique cultural richness during Gallery Night. Most participants are open from 12-9 pm. Guests can take a stroll through participating galleries, museums, retail businesses, and area restaurants, and enjoy the many artists featured during this community event.
Casa Mañana presents Million Dollar Quartet
Million Dollar Quartet is the true story of the famed recording session that brought together Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins, which comes to life with a tale of personal and professional drama at the start of their legendary careers. The production travels back to the early days of rock ‘n’ roll, featuring songs like "Hound Dog," "Great Balls of Fire," "Blue Suede Shoes," "I Walk the Line," and more. It will run through September 15 at Casa Mañana Theatre.
Gavin Adcock in concert
Three years ago, Gavin Adcock was making news after he was removed from the football team at Georgia Southern after ... checks notes ... chugging a beer. He started a music career instead, and on his latest album, the recently-released Actin' Up Again, he's pictured on a couch ... holding a beer. That, my friends, is some expert level trolling. He'll show off his non-football talents in this concert at Billy Bob's Texas.
