Famed spa resort Canyon Ranch eases exclusive new wellness club into Fort Worth
One of the most famous destination health spas in America is bringing something entirely new to Fort Worth: Canyon Ranch will launch a first-of-its-kind wellness club in the forthcoming Crescent Fort Worth Development in the Cultural District in 2023.
According to a news release, the new "urban" retreat will offer expert wellness guidance, health-focused community programs and presentations, a members' lounge, and — oh, yes — a 26,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art spa and fitness center.
“We have been helping people find a ‘well way of life’ for decades and are excited to continue that mission with the launch of our new wellness club,” says Jeff Kuster, CEO of Canyon Ranch, in the release. “While guests are always thrilled to visit one of our destination resorts, we believe this new concept will help them bring the best of Canyon Ranch home and live happier, healthier lives on a daily basis.”
Founded in Tucson, Arizona in 1979, Canyon Ranch was purchased by Goff Capital in 2017, and headquarters were subsequently moved to downtown Fort Worth. Goff Capital managing partner John Goff is CEO of Crescent Real Estate LLC, developer of the new mixed-use project.
Canyon Ranch will open as part of the development, which broke ground September 20 and is set to include a 200-room boutique hotel with restaurant overseen by renowned chef Dean Fearing, rooftop lounge, landscaped courtyard/event space, office space, and 170 luxury residential apartment units.
To clarify, a spokeswoman says, Canyon Ranch's facility will not be inside the hotel (and thus, just for hotel guests) — it will be within the office space.
It will be the brand's first wellness club and the first time they are opening in an urban living area, she says.
"This innovative new concept offers a seamless and integrated member experience that is completely customized," the company says in the release. "Members will develop a plan with a personal team of wellness experts to help guide their everyday wellness practice. Exclusive member offerings include an ongoing social support system, frequent and consistent coaching, progress benchmarking, and more."
The Fort Worth location will be one of several Canyon Ranch Wellness Clubs opening in key markets around the U.S., they say. Canyon Ranch currently operates award-winning resorts in Tucson, Arizona and Lenox, Massachusetts; a new wellness retreat in Woodside, California; and the largest day spa in North America at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas.
Known as trailblazing "immersive destinations," Canyon Ranch resort-spas offer activities and personal guidance from world-class experts in health and performance, food and nutrition, spa and beauty, fitness and movement, and mind and spirit.
The entire mixed-use complex is expected to open mid-2023.
